Astronomical Binoculars

Astronomical binoculars are a good first purchase to start to explore the skies above or as a secondary instrument to use when taking out the telescope doesn't suit you. Essentially they comprise two refracting telescopes mounted side by side. Whilst they do have some drawbacks in that the magnification is generally not changeable, they are more portable than most telescopes and so make a great 'grab n go' option.
